Hey Gurl, to all the girls, appropriates 22 images of single women in beds, cropped on the section where the body meets the bed. These images are thus juxtaposed with the Beastie Boys “To all the girls” Lyrics. The intention was to be playful, but also subversive.

The piece Case Study 001 is a detached family portrait that explores multiple concepts ranging from the relationships within the nuclear family, heredity, and identity. The idea behind this piece was to explore the family’s identity solely based on the pharmaceutical drugs that they take on a daily basis and ignoring their personality traits and focusing on the clinical aspect of their medical profile. I was interested in making the connections between the parents and the children.
